April 2010

We spent almost the entire month of April outside working in the vineyard and garden.
Unfortunately this meant I had my head down most of the time so I didn't take nearly as many photos as I should have taken.

For instance, I failed to photograph the broken hot water heater hose (an event which slid slightly to the negative on my experience chart) as well as the discovery of a prime meat market right here in Parras de la Fuente (an event that rocketed all the way to the extreme positive side of that same chart).

I can submit pictures of a very neat and tidy cactus garden, the basil when it was just coming up, the roses at their finest, and the very beginnings of one of the finest little vegetable gardens I've ever had.

Other highlights were my mom's very successful spinal surgery on April 20th and a visit from Jim and Rori at the end of the month.

Texas Wildflowers

If you didn't travel through Texas and Northern Mexico in March and April of 2010, you missed a golden opportunity to see wildflowers at their absolute finest.

This is just one example of the miles and miles of color that exploded within view of the highways we travel from Parras to San Antonio.
