Back to California

Reversing the trip from Anchorage to California was quick enough. Instead of taking the Coast Starlight all the way to Los Angeles, we got off the train in Sacramento for a few days with our most excellent friends, Trish and Don. We went on several wine-hunting trips, ate great food and had wonderful opportunities to catch up with our Sacramento acquaintances. We only see them occasionally, but they seem much more important to us than just once-a year friends.



Trish and Don had just had their back yard professionally landscaped and it was beautiful. My photography doesn't do it justice. Use your imagination.


Of course, Stanley and Don had to have a BOY moment. What a pair they are!

As a special treat, we spent a few hours with old friends Cliff and Bobbie in Lodi. It was so good to see them. Since our visit, they have made a trip to Hawaii and I can't wait to hear about it.
