Steven had to stop for a snack.
Another snack.
And back to the starting point. That's Rosita, our carriage driver. I don't know what happened to the picture, but she was so sweet I couldn't leave it out.
We decided to take a short cut back to our hotel. I believe it had something to do with the search for draft beer.
There are still many examples of World War II destruction
The draft beer place was closed so we found ourselves back at our favorite taverna on the waterfront.
A little music.
Posing for the camera.
We first spotted this guy fishing when we came back to the hotel for the nap. He was still at it.
A fish at last. Not much to brag about.
The owner was a real pro. He could make it hover over the table,
Swoop into the air,
And land it with total presision.
Before I could make a deal to buy the toy, Sue and Gordon arrived. What luck that we all ended up in Chania for our last night in Greece.
We had a gorgeous sunset over the harbor.
And then off to dinner at The Well of the Turk.
My pictures of the food were way too dark, but I have the vision of that salad firmly in my mind.
We would see them the next morning at the airport, but this was the real farewell. Hope our travel paths meet again.
