Train from San Antonio to New Orleans and on to DC. With our late arrival in NO our time there was limited to a very short hotel stay. We were back at the train station at 7:00 the next morning for the second leg.
Highlights of the DC stay included Carmen at the Kennedy Center, exploring Chinatown, oysters at Old Ebbitt's Grill, and a visit to the greenhouse at the National Botanical Garden.
