Versailles

Yesterday was all about the glitz, glitter and gardens of Versailles. My take: the glitz was lost on me once I got past the gate. Opulence goes over the top for me pretty fast. The crowd was so thick it was impossible to really see anything that did strike my fancy. The Hall of Mirrors would make a great venue for a wedding reception. The photos inside are thanks to my iPad because I was able to lift it over the heads of my fellow tourists. At least I can see what I could have seen if I had sharper elbows.
