Sunday in Paris
Yesterday was a day for exploring our neighborhood. We walked out the door, turned right and found a great Turkish lunch; a grocery store with all kinds of pâtés, terrines, and other stuff; lots of people; a full blown demonstration; a quiet walk along the canal; and beer. The most remarkable thing . . . The only vehicles on the streets were police, emergency vehicles, and taxis. As part of the demonstration regarding climate change, the city had banned all personal vehicles for the day. What a change that makes!
