September 10 Bordeaux to Les Eyzies

You have to love Western European train service. We made the trip from Paris to Bordeaux in  three hours and change. No hassles. No waiting on a side track for hours for a freight train to pass. We all slept! Upon returning to the apartment after our decadent evening the night before,  we still had to tidy up for inspection by our anal landlady, do some laundry and start packing. We were up early to finish packing and attend to final details. By the time we boarded the train, we were all ready for a nap.

Renting the car in Bordeaux was relatively painless. We were soon on our way.

The following are photos I took as we made our way to Les Eyzies-de-Tayac.

It was just as I had imagined it!

La Roque St-Chritophe . . . Very interesting.

After all our high living in Paris we were all committed to a more asture life style for the next few days. Our apartment in Les Eyzies came complete with kitchen and a small patio. Just right for a picnic, a philosophical discussion about the nature of truth, and then to bed.
